Hey guys,
We found your show when we were stationed in Az. shortly before we made the move to South Korea. We listened to you on our long trek from Arizona to washington(it made for many lively conversations ,and a few fights in the car) so we could ship our car and get on a plane. Once we got here your show came with us.(Our portable friends) Mitch would talk about his parents in South korea. I know this is a huge city but still the mormon population is pretty small so I began to wonder.(Did I sit by his mom in RS, maybe pass them in the hall?) So one day a few weeks ago, their was a group of us waiting outside the church waiting for it to be opened and I saw a couple there. I thought what are the chances? So I got up my courage and just asked them if they knew of the "mormon potluck". I knew by their faces I had found the right ones. We had a quick little chat about a few of the episodes, your mom put a plug in for your sponsers and told me about some more "modest is hottest"web sites. Your dad said something about needing his place back soon(looks like you boys might need a new club house). They were great and defiantly have that mission glow about them. It made me feel like the wold is not so big. A little less lonely, even though I am thousands of miles from home.

Your podcast have been a little sparse. So imagine how excited I was to find a new one when I was syncing my I pod. I almost fell of the tread mill when I heard the shoutout. It was great. Keep them coming.

Everything seems to be working great now. I was able to listen to the whole episode with no problems. I'm suprised nobody has commented on the brethren's singing skills. Let's just say you guys should keep your day jobs. Great to have you back guys.

Zelph has spurred me on to do some study of the hemispheric and Mesoamerican theories of the book of Mormon. The guys at FARMS tend toward the Mesoamerican whereas the early leaders of the church tended toward the traditional theory of a hemispheric view. Here is an interesting article that encapsulates the two.

The article also sites the finding of the alter of adam found by Joseph Smith. B.H. Roberts had problems with the alter because it contained fossils that would have existed before Noah's Flood. That pesky B.H. Roberts, always the good Darwinist.

Anyway enjoy.

Welcome back.
Two things. In the Himalayas a "Bigfoot" is called a Yeti. And I loved the music. Maybe you could just do that more often and leave out all the talking.

Okay, I laughed until I cried. I can't wait to be with you brethren on another episode! Totally looking forward to our next recording session.

Oh, and I'm still in Nashville. Got a new job don't-you-know. Rather that should be "Ya'll know I got a new job."

UPDATE: as of 8pm PDT I have uploaded a newly encoded audio file. Should you encounter any playback problems similar to the ones described above(restarting midway) please let me know.

As always, I appreciate the feedback. I hope I have resolved the problem, but I depend on your feedback to let me know. Thanks.

PS- John, I appreciate your comments as well :-)

I found this while looking into Adam-ondi-Ahman. I forgot all about it. The Wikipedia article is about Zelph the white Lamanite.

"In accord with the revelations given to the Prophet Joseph Smith, we teach that the Garden of Eden was on the American continent located where the city of Zion, or the New Jerusalem will be built. When Adam and Eve were driven out of the Garden, they eventually dwelt at a place called Adam-ondi-Ahman, situated in what is now Daviess County, Missouri" (Doctrines of Salvation 3:74).

Grrrrrr. Okay, I'm looking into the audio issue. I've actually never isolated the problem, so thus I'm grumbly because I don't know where to begin.

With that said, I am thankful for the reports on the audio problems. And, thanks in advance for your patience. I'll post an update if I figure this out!

Same here. I use a Zune and the file played about halfway and started over. I had to download it directly from the website to get the full episode.
I noticed that this happens frequently.

Yep...same thing happened to me when listening on the website. It restarted about half way through the episode and the cut off abruptly after you guys played the second track on the CD. Great to have another episode up but the production on this one seems a bit choppy.

My iTunes podcast for this episode started over about half-way through, but the podcast doesn't get to the end of the episode. Did anyone else have this issue?

Anyway, welcome back brethren! Don't leave us hanging for so long next time. :)
