Your discussion about having FHE (or not) was fascinating to me. I have the same experience as all of you with only spatterings of "regular" FHEs, both in my youth and now as a parent myself. I, too, remember the boy that got wrapped up in lies. I used to sneak into the uber-organized filing cabinet (sure to have been a Homemaking activity) and pull out the boy with the octopus-looking "lie monster" and uesd the flannel board to put on a show for my brothers.

Interesting note, my husband was converted in 1993 and went on a mission to Guatemala and still doesn't know what a flannel board is. Cultural differneces that we don't even think about...

Good times.

Brethren,
A mountain is defined as "an elevation standing high above the surrounding area with small summit area, steep slopes and local relief of 300 meters or more" (about 984 feet) and a hill is "a rounded elevation of limited extent rising above the surrounding land with local relief of less than 300 meters". These are the definitions given by the US Board of Geographic Names and they are the definitive authority when talking about maps and geographic features.
Keep those podcasts coming!

Poteau is the world's tallest hill...apparently. I'm from Oklahoma and hear all about it quite frequently.
Also, Norman is home to the University of Oklahoma. I figured Sean would have looked that up with his Wiki skills. Then I thought, "wait...who cares about Oklahoma?"

I'm not a member but I did visit a ward in provo back in December and an FHE last night. Three months ago I would've had no idea what you guys were talking about half the time. I've since learned much of the lingo and now laugh even more. Good times, hope you guys are well! Peace

I had a college chemistry professor who taught us that in order to have a balanced, stable chemical equation the amount of positive elements one one side of the equation have to be balanced by the same amount of negative. If there was too much positive force it would attract the negative.

The over abundance of anti-Mormon PR just made me realize that these Mormons must be doing something positive in order to attract so much negative. That plus the Lord smacking me over the head with some pretty powerful metaphysical experiences...but that's for another time.

Greetings, thank you for your continuing effort. My thoughts were captured by a comment on the mom-cast, that was that there are so many anti-mormon podcasts that its hard to find one which is normal people like us who actually believe in the work, and are willing to talk about it. So with that in mind, and if you guys have courage enough to do it... Why not do a podcast on your guy's experience's with anti-mormon things. Interestingly I joined the Church in 1969 (and had a missionary who was from Vernal!) and the local library was in a nothing little town in Connecticut and had loads of anti-LDS books.

Yes, that's my real voice. I spent almost 20 years as a radio announcer. For the last 16 years I've been working as police dispatcher/911 operator.

As always another great Potluck episode. Gotta run now and check out the new forums.
